Yesterday evening we finally arrived in the old Hansa town of Lübeck after a longer than expected journey going the long way round Denmark!
It's
a lovely city. We only had time for a short walk round before heading
off to Gdansk via Hamburg and Berlin. We are planning on spending a
whole day there (in Lübeck) on the way home so that doesn't seem such a
lost opportunity.
Today's been more like we planned
with days watching the world go by, sometimes with a beer in hand. We
will shortly arrive in Gdansk where another beer is expected and
possibly food as well.
(After writing the above, and
not managing to upload it from my phone on the train, I've now re-typed
it in and can report that some more 'craft beer' was in fact consumed,
although not entirely to my taste! The food however was excellent!)
