The last time I was in Innsbruck was the first time I'd been outside of the UK! I played in the Hertfordshire County Youth Orchestra, and we 'went on tour' to Innsbruck where we played a number of concerts and got very drunk!
On this occasion I didn't get drunk, stayed in a very much better hotel and ate at a better restaurant. It's an attractive town surrounded by mountains.
The hotel room on the ninth floor we got in Innsbruck had two double beds and was much more spacious than the room in Zermatt I'm writing this in! It had a good view of the mountains but has been outclassed by the view of the Matterhorn from this window!
